ISI Micro

Evaluate many different cell properties and correlate them to identify functional and health problems in your production.

For the histological analysis, evaluating only the villus height and crypt depth may not be enough to analyze if the villus is healthy and functional. The ISI Micro is a metric evaluation methodology of histological parameters that leads to a more complete analysis. In the ISI methodology, 8 parameters in the intestinal villus are evaluated: Lamina propria thickness, Epithelial thickness, Enterocytes proliferation, Inflammatory cell infiltration on epithelium, Inflammatory cell infiltration in lamina propria, Goblet cells proliferation, congestion and the presence of oocytes .The results are highly correlated with the animals’ performance, as demonstrated in scientific publications. Thus, it is a great tool to evaluate precisely the effect of products and practices in the animal intestinal health.
